Platform Bed No. 3 is a low, wide platform bed made from solid wood, the ultimate luxury foundation for your mattress. In this design, the heavy solid wood bed frame and headboard appear to visually float above your floor.   Crisp rectangular edges and pristine modern construction set this piece apart from other modern platform beds.

Materials & Sustainability

All of our items are made to order from FSC-Certified Wood.

On our furniture pieces, we use 2 different eco-friendly finishes, depending on wood species.   On darker woods that benefit from a slightly amber tone we use a zero-VOC oil-wax finish (Rubio Monocoat).  On lighter color woods where a non-yellowing finish is preferable, we use a low-VOC waterborne urethane finish.

Woods finished with zero-VOC Rubio Monocoat:

Woods Finished with Low-VOC waterborne urethane finish

• Maple
• Ash
• Beech
• White Oak (upon request)

Dimensions

We make this to order in standard bed sizes. Use the drop down list to make your selection.

Standard Headboard is 23″ High, floating 1″ above the floor (24″ total height). It measures 13″ wider than the mattress overall (7.5″ on both sides).

The bed frame extends 4.5″ around outside the dimension of the mattress along the rails and footboard.

Solid hardwood slats are spaced under 2 inches apart to provide a supportive foundation for your mattress.

We ship this bed with white glove delivery and include in-home setup at no extra cost.   It’s worth it to make sure the bed reaches you safely and delivery is as smooth as possible.
